Complete Camera Package Assembly

I'm trying to assemble a complete camera rig to complement my HV20 (yet still be useful upon upgrading to a larger camera, such as the EX1). Ideally, I would like to purchase all of the components for less than $2500, and I would like one of them to be the Letus Extreme.

It's not that I don't know what I'm after...I know that I'll need the Letus, step-up (or down, whatever is appropriate) rings, rails, prime lenses, a follow-focus, a matte box and some way to fit all of this onto a tripod. I know what I need, I just don't know which specific products would be best for my price range and would be completely comprehensive and compatible with one another.

It would also be nice to be able to take this rig handheld. Maybe that entails purchasing a DvRigProHD, I don't know.

Thanks for any help you guys can offer.

I just picked up a DVRig Pro HD, and I really like it. I am actually flying my old GY-X2BU on it (until I get my HVX) and that is a heavy camera!

I considered the PAG and actually played with one, but a lot of the parts are plastic (the joints, at least the one I was looking at) and wouldn't support my current camera. It might of supported the HVX I am envisioning to end up with, but I didn't want to risk it.

The DVRigProHD is well worth the price if you want to run and gun with stability, IMO. 600 is a bit steep but, you get what you pay for.

The velcro belt is a bit cheesy, but I will find a replacement real soon.

I've got a DVMultiRig Pro (not the same as a DVRig Pro HD). I really like it. It's a great product, but I have to echo Doc Bernard about pricing being a bit steep. I'm going to take my DVMultiRig Pro with me the next time I wind up going to my girlfriend's son's house. He's a machinist by trade (about 10 years now), and I want to talk with him about custom building me something similar, but with design modifications just the way I want it. I want it to have two shoulder supports and eliminate the need for an allen wrench to adjust it. I also want to get an idea what it would cost to have his company make 50-100 with my design. It has also occurred to me that incorporating high strength plastic into parts of it could make it even lighter, which might be helpful in building something for heavier camera rigs without the support adding much weight at all.
