FYI,

I asked Sony if they had, or planned, a competitive upgrade for other NLE users who want to convert. Got a reply today saying one is planned and should be on their upgrades page in about 2 weeks.

Re: Competitive upgrade

Howdy,

Been using Vegas for almost a year and LOVE it. Used FCP & Premier but Vegas beats the pants off them. I got an email from Sony indicating that they are now shipping the competative upgrage. The URL is: [http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/products/showproduct.asp?PID=938&keycode=6378]
I hope you like it. It's a GREAT piece of software. One piece of advice however; don't try to make it work like any previous package you've used. Clear your mind and start thinking pure Vegas and you will not go wrong.
