Company discovers way to boost light sensitivity 100 - 500x

A company named Sionyx has stumbled on a process (mixing sulfer into silicon, or something like that) that will boost the sensitivity of silicon by 100 to 500 times (that's 7 to 9 f-stops).

Likely still a few years away from your local Best Buy, but interesting even so.
