Compact Flash Help??!

My friend is trippin about his compact flash card. Basically he said that it can only take two pictures and then it says its full. He said the card is completely empty. What's this problem because I really don't know. Any ideas..
 
I'm sure he's tried formatting the card in the camera...
Some cards come with recovery software on them. What brand card is it. Try checking out the cards website for tips...

And what camera does he have?

If he has a 8+ MegaPixel camera and a 16MB Compact Flash card, then two full-resolution images would be all he should get.
 
Thanks for the help guys. He has a Cannon D20 with a Ultra 512 flash card. I'm sure all he needed to do is format the whole card but he didn't know how and plus I'm not that familar with the D20. He also lost his manual and I hate trying to explain stuff over the phone especially when its something I'm not familar with. It's all good, I think he'll be able to figure it out sooner or later. Thanks guys!
