Greetings everyone...
so, I had a thought I would like to share....
Who here would be interested in a community based VFX Challenge?
Essentially, each week, as a group, we would develop the idea for that weeks challenge...then, independently, we all create our own versions of said shot, and then share them with the community at the end of the week. There will be no prizes, no 1st place ribbons...just a chance to learn and share with the community. We can provide each other tips, learn tricks from other members, and if interested, some of the more experienced users could even create tutorials (video or otherwise) on how they created their shot. I think this could be a great way for some users to learn how to create that awesome shot they have been wanting to make, or to learn new skills, and sharpen the ones they already have. Additionally, I think this could be a great way to build networks within the commumity, and foster creativity while expanding knowledge.
Anyways, this is just a thought, and I would be happy to organize this whole thing if anyone is interested. We can start it small and grow it from there. I homestly think it can be a lot of fun and help us all get better at what we do. Then, in the future, perhaps we can setup monthly challenges in which we would give away grand prizes and such.
so....who is interested?
also....if you have additional ideas for this, please share!!
Im lookimg forward to it!!
Nick
