Communications App for IPhone

[ChristianMoriarty]

Does one exist?
2 camera broadcast interviews & we look like baseball coaches using secret sign language.
Could even be texting emoticons for:
tilt up
pan right
dirty left
safe 4:3
etc

I've been using TeamSpeak, it's practically comms for iPhone and there's a PC client and I'd be surprised if there wasn't an Android client. It was developed by gamers but I've used it for a couple of live shows. You can run your own server to connect to on a laptop and all communicate over WiFi.

Hmmm, Is there any way to use a phone as a communication device...

I know what you mean but it sounds so silly ;~)

BTW iPhones will wreck havoc with your sound. If you have them on and they get anywhere close to audio circuits they will insert their call home message periodically. It doesn't need to be a mic cable. I would put mine close to a mixer during a class I taught so that students could experience the issue and drive home the point that you really want those phones OFF. It's not the ringing that is the problem its the RF bursts the bloody things shoot out.
