Common Scam?

Hey everyone,

I posted an ad on facebook offering my services as a wedding videographer. I said that I could be contacted either through the facebook or through my website's form.

Soon after, I got an email through my site's form and here's what it said:

"Below is the visitors contact info and message.

Visitor's Info:
-----------------------------------------
Name: George Jackson
Email: gjackson@warnerbros.com
Phone:
How did you hear about me: Facebook
Date Sent: February 29, 2008

Message
-----------------------------------------
Your work is terrific, we would like to see some more of it. Looking to sign on a couple interns for our paid internship. Pay starts at 43 dollars an hour. Let us know your thoughts."

Now, I tried responding back to the email and I keep getting an error when I attempt to respond. Warner Bros.? $43/hr for an intern? I mean, I don't know if I'll ever be able to get in touch with this guy because the email doesn't seem to work, but should I pursue it at all or just forget about it?

Thanks for all your help,

Kegan

For anyone who's curious, here's the response I get from the auto-mailer:

"Hi. This is the qmail-send program at outbound-mail-105.bluehost.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

<gjackson@warnerbros.com>:
64.18.5.10 does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 550 No such user - psmtp
Giving up on 64.18.5.10."

Basically saying it doesn't exist.

Thanks Isaac. I did a quick calculation - $43/hr full-time equals $80k PLUS a year. For an intern position? Yeah right. I just find that it's strange someone went through the trouble to attempt to contact me with details like that and then have an email that doesn't work.

I researched George Jackson and found NOTHING...the email doesn't work either. Is there anyway I can research to find out how advanced these bloody spambots are? I mean for it to copy my URL off a facebook ad, go into the contact portion of my site, fill out each of the fields individually and then send the form out?

Very strange...

43$ hr? I thought maybe 430 would sound more like it.
43$/hr for anything serious is a farce.

Someone on facebook was just trying to get a fool exited about being on facebook after having given up personal info and maybe had a second thought... Just IMO while personally always being suspicious when it comes to comunicrap type of website.

Heh, thanks guys - I figured it was something like that. A guy can wish, can't he? Damned facebook...I had closed my account for a few months and finally re-opened it. Waste of time.
