I saw a commercial for this video game, where the game was playing, and then shrunk it into the top left...then shrunk it and moved it to the top right and so on...all while moving!
Vegas can do split screens easy. Matter of fact, you can split out the screens as many as you need. I don't know if this is what you mean, but it might give you an idea.
You're welcome. I'm still looking for the commercial to see how it was done, but based on the description, I'd bet someone can do a reasonable copy of its style. Vegas is very amazing. ;D
Phil,
It's accomplished using track motion in most instances. I've not see the commercial you're talking about either, but using the track motion, you can easily and quickly create huge videowalls, brady bunch type multiple screens, and lots more.
True, you can do this through pan/crop, but potentially at a loss of resolution, which is why I generally recommend Track Motion. In the "Naked Vegas" book, the author uses Pan/Crop for this sort of thing, and now people are asking why their images are washed out.
But yeah, the absolute beauty of Vegas is that there are at least 2 and usually more, methods of doing almost everything.

Hey Phil, teach me to be a better DP and I'll teach you how to be a better editor ;D
