I've just finished a major (for me) instructional video project, using only my new T.H.E. hyper for a mic. Before this project, I'd only used an ME66/K6.
Shooting was done in a wide range of interiors, from big wood-paneled boardrooms with high ceilings to small offices with minimal sound absorption.
My conclusion is that the new mic is some of the best bucks I've ever spent. Sound quality in my clips ranged from outstanding to good, with good being the BEST that the ME66 ever managed.
I'm sure there are worthy competitors, like the Oktava. But I liked the backstory of the T.H.E. and its inventors, and I was happy to support them.
My ME66 has gone to the great afterlife known as eBay, and I offer my thanks to Matt and any others who steered me in the right direction.
