At the time that I made this thread, Hudson has 30 posts to go until the BIG 10,000. With an average of 16.37 posts per day, that means that it should take place tomorrow.

What will happen? Will the world cease to exist? Will Hudson become one of the fabled "Metamucel Members"? Perhaps both?

Come and join us, everyone! Any special Hudson memories you'd like to share?

And John, please do us the honor of posting #10,000 here, so that we all might bask in it's greatness, in one central location.

To mark the occassion, I made you a new avatar, that is the max size for the new board, it's been bugging the hell out of me that yours is smaller than everyone else's.

Shouldn't John's 10,000th be a thread onto itself? Can that sort of greatness really be contained in a simple reply?

He's probably not posting as much due to the pressure of the 10,000th post.
I'm sure it keeps him up at night...writing and rewriting, editing...scratching things out...spell check, etc.

Poor man, I don't envy him.

Quick, someone post some flame bait regarding George A. Romero's upcoming "Land of the Dead" and how the whole 'zombie thing' is kind of burnt. That'll get all 28 in this thread! :cheesy:
 
Cool.. I even remember this post of his! Hm.. I'm doing something wrong... I'm around here since about the same time.. fall of '03... but I just recently reached the 100s and he posted 100 (one hundred) TIMES as many... absolutely crazy!!!

The whole thing will cumliminate in an epic 10,000th post which redefines the entire zombie genre, breathing new life into what many thought was a fully exhausted artistic wasteland.

The post will be pasted around from message board to message board....growing a cult following. It will be taught in film schools, entire thesis will be written on it, deconstructing Hudson's views on the themes of the undead. It will become a manifesto of the horror genre, the Dogme 95 of it's day.

Eventually, it will simply be known as "Hudson - 28 Posts Later"

(groan....okay, bad joke I know.... )
