Combining Sequences

Using Final Cut Pro HD

OK i've looked around, saw that a way to combine sequences was to simply cut and paste them together in another larger sequence. I feel that's just a little...un-slick. But hey it might be the way. However, simply wondering what the proper way (if there is one) to go about combining multiple sequences together. Example: each sequence is a scene, and one would like to arrange those scenes together finally in its own sequence. Just cut and paste? Or something better? Thanks

Either cut and paste the media from each sequence into one giant sequence or place each sequence as a clip into a new sequence. Both methods have their advantages. No other ways to do it.

You would just have to export them to make them individual clips. Or there could be another way also. If you wanted the ability to make changes to the scenes all you have to do is make a new sequence (master), then from the project window just drag the sequences (or scenes) into the master sequence. Once you have them all in there you can edit a scence by just double clicking it in the master sequence and all changes get carried through. I use this alot when I work with compositing and stuff. works well I think.

oh ok so i can just drag a small scene sequence to a larger sequence, instead of having to select all, copy, then paste all audio/video. thanks i'll try that out
