combining 960 x 720 and 1280 x 1080 sequences in FCP

all footage was shot 960 x 720.

My editor gave me a sequence and I notice the sequence settings are 1280 x 1080 (footage shot 960 x 720). Not sure why he set the sequence this way but it plays fine with correct aspect ratios in FCP.

I am working on a sequence as well, HD 960 x 720. that works fine.

I want to combine the two sequences. when I cut and paste the footage in the 1280 sequence into the 960 sequence, the 1280 loses the proper aspect ratio.

How do I combine the two sequences properly? Thanks

well it seems going from the 960 to the 1280 sequence worked and kept the aspect ratio. The inverse doesn't but for my purposes thats all i needed.
