combine spanned clips in DaVinci Resolve

Hi all
I'm shooting long sit down interviews using two different cameras that each use the AVCHD format.

For each camera I would like to:
1. Import full AVCHD .MTS spanned clips into Resolve, without re-wrapping or transcoding
2) combine spanned clips into one continuous file

I will then grade using Optimised Media in Resolve

What is the workflow to achieve this?

With most NLEs (FCPX, Premiere, etc) you can import the clips (it's recommended the AVCHD structure is in its original state) and they are stitched correctly when they are in the timeline...meaning it might look like you have multiple clips or cuts next to each other but the transition (for video and audio) is seamless.

Have you tried that in Resolve?

from memory, DaVinci had trouble syncing the multiple clips.

I had great scratch audio on one camera and I fed the other camera audio from an audio recorder
