I have a tech question, I have a JVC production monitor that i preview my colour correction on, it is fed from s-video from my dvx100b that i have connected to my computer via firewire. Is this accurate, does it degrade the quality would i get better results monitoring through a blackmagic card etc. I am just wondering as when i colour correct my dv footage it starts to look painterly pastel like less real hard to describe but i think you guys know what i mean and lose that nice clean quality that occurs when i watch straight from tape. Is this just the bain of dv footage. Any insights would be great.
