Colour Correction Constructive Criticism

Hello, this is my first post here!
I am new to FCPX and I recently started learning about colour correction, using the colour waveforms I adjusted the exposure, and colour (Highlight, Mid tones, and Shadows). I thought my clips where reflecting an orange colour from the background elements onto things such as the table top. I corrected them and uploaded a youtube video with the comparison. I was wondering if you guys could help me improve my corrections.

Hmm- that's a pretty subtle correction and a bit hard to gauge off a YouTube clip. I'd be more focused on the skin tones and consistency from shot to shot across a scene. This might help:
