What colour correction tools come with the new version of Vegas? Does it come with Magic Bullet like the old version?

What formats can it export to? I've heard it can do DVCPRO HD, but you need a special program for that, I'm not sure what it is though.

Are you interested in Pro or Platinum. These two have different exporting abilities you see.

On Pro you get two h.264 encoders with full user customization support, Cineform and other .avi intermediate formats, an intermediate .mov format, mpeg2 encoder and customization for it, WMV fully customized too.

On Platinum you get .avi and WMV which are fully customized, but the h.264 and mpeg templates are not allowing for user customization. With Platinum for example, you can only go as high as 480x272 for h.264 (PSP resolution).

I don't know if Magic Bullet Movie Looks comes with Vegas Pro anymore (I have an OEM version that didn't come with it but the full retail package might have it). As for the color tools, there is a 3-way color corrector and a lot of other tools. Coupled with Magic Bullet *and* this powerful freeware Vegas plugin linked here: http://eugenia.gnomefiles.org/2007/08/08/color-grading-tutorial/
you don't need lots more... Here are some of my own color grading using these tools: http://eugenia.gnomefiles.org/2007/11/07/color-grading/
