Coloring one object with the background B&W!!

Hey everybody,

I'm going to be shooting a commercial for a clothing company and they wanted to have their shirts in color but everything else in black and white. I've read all the tutorials about the "Pleasantville" effect but I find this a little more difficult since im gonna be singling out a multicolored shirt. I will be using After Effects 7. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Doesn't matter how many color the shirt has since you're not keying on a particular color but instead treating the shirt as an object. A mask around it would keep all the colors.

You can also do this in premiere and FCP i belive its called "Color Pass"
