This may be so basic
so I do NOT know where to post it -
My recent work in photo shop with using color curves has taught me what engineers have foretold
"someday you will learn that color space is connected to definition and resolution "
My work with files from a Nikon d50 lead to this question
1) is the nikon d 50 does the file in jpeg fine use a color space of 4:4:4 ?
2) recent specs on red and scarlet show a similar color space .
so is this where red camera is picking up its great definition ?
In general the advances in prosumer video cameras are using codecs which sacrifice color space .
the red camera by specs seem to be reversing this trend .Is this a correct assumption ?
thanks for any feedback and links on this as you can tell I am still doing my digital primer school work .
regards
Bruce
