Color Finesse

Mine is in the upper left. It's not perfect, but for five minutes worth of work, at least you can see it can be done.

ReelPak-1 for Ultimate S module
Celluloid for Vegas 5 Standalone
Ultimate S gives you MANY tools, including everything included in Celluloid if you buy ReelPak-1 as well. Great audio and video tools.

But if you're just interested in the film looks, then Celluloid does you fine.

Re: Color Finesse

That image on botom right looks like it is off of the edited footage, can you get the unedited footage then use your cellular program over it please.

Re: Color Finesse

The image on the bottom right IS the Color Finesse "after" shot. The image on the upper left is the "before" shot with Vegas color correction applied. I didn't use a Celluloid look there; I did it manually. As I said, in about five minutes. I wasn't trying for perfection, just demonstration.

Re: Color Finesse

None of the preset looks in Celluloid can take that raw clip and match the Color Finesse look exactly. At least for that particular one; I haven't tried any of the others.

But keep in mind that the "before" pictures on that site are tinted extremely red -- probably for the stark difference in the result -- the Celluloid looks are intended to be applied to footage which already has a more or less correct color balance.

If you have a clean picture, "John Wayne Western" will give you a very similar look.

Re: Color Finesse

something to keep in mind is that while can do the same types of things with an NLE you _can't_ work in the high bit color space the color finess uses. You have a lot more accuracy and room to play around with color finess. If just normal color correction/grading is good enough to your eyes though then it doesn't make much sense to go with color finess.
Color Finesse is the best colour correcting I have seen for the best movie look. I wonder if you can get a program like this for Vegas. It is 10 times better than Movie Looks. The only problem is that you have to use it for After Effects.

Check out these before and after images:

I need something like this BIG TIME!
Did you use one of the pre-sets in color finesse for that sample? If yes then which one?
