Color Correction???

If I shoot everything with my DVX100 and I make sure that I white balance and everything looks good do I still need to run my sequence through color correction. I read in the manual that one reason for it is to make sure that all colors match in the entire project. Does that pertain to mixing footage shot with other cameras or should I be color correcting everything that I shoot with my DVX100?

Re: Color Correction???

Once you have your movie edited, you're going to want to go back over the whole thing and make sure that your clips all match each other. You could also use color correction and/or other filters to give your film a certain 'look'. For example, the desaturated, bleached look, etc. I would do this as a rule on footage from different cameras. I would do it as a habit on footage from the same camera. Again, it's just to make sure that all of the clips are matching and there are no discordant shots anywhere that would distract from the story you are telling.
