Color correction

What do most of you use to color correct?

I go between Final cut's cc, Nattress filters & Magic bullet....

Sorry, wrong section!!

For most things I use a combination of FCP's 3-Way Color Corrector and the Color Corrector. For specialty purposes, particularly old or damaged film I use Nattress. I have used Magic Bullet sparingly (excruciating render times) like Day for Night.

I use vegas and my main favourites are levels, color curves, primary color corrector, secondary colorcorrector and of course MB look suite.

I like color correcting in after effects. I use a mix of levels, curves, layer blending modes, and sometimes I'll break out color finesse for the nitty gritty controls.

I've been using this awesome macro called Color Grade in Shake lately for getting my look down, then using other CC tools in Shake for correctional, contiunity purposes.

The Vegas equivalent would be to say that Celluloid is better than MB. I use it a lot more. You can easily get the looks you want without tying up your machine for 3 weeks trying to render a 30 sec clip.

I actually think, after using both, that Nattress is better than MB. I like his controls over the 'curves'.

The Nattress filters have been on my "wish list" for awhile now. I really need to get them.
