Ok..so i was bored..and i had a pic of me laying around...so i wanted to try to make different CC effects in AE using Curves..Digital Film Lab and some Trapcode Shine.

First time Color Correcting...so opinions and suggestions are open.

speaking of rose colored ...

I think Brice prob likes 4 best because it is the only one with contrast ... ok maybe the last one, but the mid to light prortion is flat

the rest look either flat or washed out or both

Try to add some contrast without looking so styleized and then go from there

What system are you on -- if you are on a Mac using FCP I can offer more specifics.

Also what are you shooting on? Didn't your DVX go boom? Is that a web cam ... your not asking us to critic your footage off of a web cam ... are you?

I've been in 2.5 fights in my adult life. 2 resulted in me getting hit once and hitting the floor. The first time I was actually knocked out. The second time I used what I had learned from the 1st experience and pretended to be knocked out. THe .5 time is too long a story.
 
2 Questions:

Why did you use a different location (and lighting) for image 6?
What is that thing on your right hand?
 
I like the 4th. But I think you should try cc. with a better pic, with more colours, more lights... you should have an idea that you want reach, and work until you get it!
 
Well i was trying the blow out look..cuz ive seen some movies with all the whites just really really up thurrr in whites...so i tried suttin with that.

plus..the pic wasnt that great..i was jus bored wen i took that picture..i took that foto with the flash off on a Sony Cybershot..so its not that great.

and the thing on my hand is a cast..i broke my hand...
and for the pic 6..it just threw taht inthere..i jus turned around to see what differences in light i culd get.

but im glad about ur suggestions..yeah they suck...i know...my fav is prolly number 4...cuz its green and dark...but it was my first time messin around with a random pic.

btw...id take Coffee down anyday...hes too scurrddd. hahahaha

and i broke my hand in a fight actually...it happend a while ago...sum dude pissed me off..we got into a fight..and i started throwin punches..and i got one to his head..and i duno wtf happend...i must have hit at a wrong angle too hard..it broke the bone in my hand that connects the pinkie to the rest of the hand....doctor said it was a "boxers break"..so yeah...6 weeks of this cast..but i messsd up the guy good.

Coffee.....dont tempt me.....haha :cheesy:

Heh heh... Boxer's Break... I know it all too well. I've done it twice to the same hand - same bone. Take it from an old man... watch your temper. :thumbsup:
 
...ha...ha...my hair perfectly finee...ur jus madd cuz ur probably balding to the point u culd land an airplane on ur head. ahha :grin:

not trying to be a racist..wat i meant was like the whites were really blown up...like everything was bright..which i said they were up thurr.

Ill take Coffee on...get the cam up soon..come around march..ill be good to go. :)
