Color Correction Monitor

I have a G4 Powerbook 1.67 Ghz with 2 GB of RAM running FCP version 5.1.4
I am mostly working with DVCPRO HD and HDV footage outputting to DVD's and Quicktimes for the web. I need a good monitor to check my color correction as I've noticed the hue and blacks on my DVD's look off on a regular TV.
What would any of you suggest for a good professional monitor for color correction? and also would I connect the monitor using the S-Video output port? Or the DVI port?

Thanks In Advance

Well, with the Powerbook, your choices are VERY limited. Not in terms of monitors, but how to get the signal TO that monitor. You need an HD IO device to do this. There are two that will work for you. The AJA IOHD, that connects via firewire and runs $3500. Or the Matrox MXO that connects via DVI and runs $995.

The MXO can turn a computer monitor into a broadcast monitor:

Or you can connect it to an HDTV via component, but you don't get the color bar balancing ability.
