Color Correction - Help Pls

Ok I have literally been at this for days now and its gotten to the point where it's just driving me nuts. I want to match a color correction scheme (as close as possible) from a before to an after.

AFTER

I tried simple desaturation and some contrast adjustments, but I can't get it even close with the three color wheel correction... Anyone got a good eye for color willing to help me out? I will be eternally greatful!

I am not following what you are asking. The seond grab looks awesome by the way; maybe a little too saturated but not much.

What is it you want to do?

are you trying to match a color correction from magic bullet or somthing by using the standrd color corrector in vegas.. cause if your matching another vegas correction you can probably just copy and paste it onto the clip.

if you have a filter/effect for color matching you could try that as well.

but for starters, id drop the reds, desaturate some - add a tiny bit of contrast, make a main curve adjustment, and apply a gradient to the top and bottom in proportion.

The grabs are from a Suzuki commercial. I got them from a behind the scenes video that showed a before and after color correction shot. What I've been trying to do in Vegas, using color correction, is basically matching the color of the after shot by applying effects to the untouched shot so I can save them as a preset to use in other projects. Then I could just apply the preset and tweak it for footage of different saturations and whatnot.

aha.. theres more than just a basic color correction going on there though.. you would need to save a few presets .
