Color Correction/fixs 3/4 tape

Hello I have a two part question:

1. In AE does it come with a color correction tool? And if so how would you bring a 3min video into AE? Meaning would you bring in the entire video as a .mov or something else.

2. I have a old video I did from the pass. Years ago like 6yrs. I would like to clean up the video seems to lost its color & little dirt. Wondering if AE can do this or does it need a plugin & which one. And also what plugins do AE people want or use he most.

Question how do I bring the files into color Finesse? Do I bring it in .mov are tiff? Question is anyone using this can i see work

After Effects Pro version comes with the Color Finesse plug-in. It works from within AE, so you simply apply it to a layer/track like you would any other effect. Once you apply it, there's a setup button to click that will take you to the full-screen CF GUI.

But both standard and Pro AE also natively come with many of the tools in Color Finesse, like Levels and Curves, as well as Hue/Saturation, Brightness/Contrast, etc, etc. The great thing about Color Finesse is the inclusion of scopes and waveforms, as well as some of finer controls it has. But you could do many of the same basic tasks with the built-in controls of AE Standard as well.

And the floating point processing it uses. Much, much, much better when hardcore changes are need and/or desired.
