The encyclopedia is a follow on to the advanced color correction book.
I can recommend Advanced Color Correction and Effects.
It has tutorials on advanced effects, color correction, and Livetype.

Get both, do the Advanced Color Correction first. The second book really is more of an Encyclopedia, not as much of a tutorial, although a lot of tutorial material is in it. Get both. If you can only get one, ACC is the one to start with for sure.
