Color correcting gel for the sun.

There are so many windows in a room I am shooting, I can't block or even compete with them, so I think the best thing to do is to work with it. I know there are gels you can buy, but I'd like professional opinion on where to buy and to what degree?

Most of the shooting will be done in the afternoon before the sun begins to set, if that helps. Thanks

If you're shooting in a room with a lot of windows, you may be able to get by without using much in the way of additional lights. You could use an assortment of reflectors as fill sources. If you do need additional lighting and are using tungsten lights, than you'll need some full or 3/4 CTB gels for your lights. This will roughly match the color temperature of daylight. The color temperature of your light sources doesn't have to match exactly, but it should be close. In fact, sometimes it looks better if the color temperature is slightly different--it can add some depth to the shot.

If possible, try to shoot when you have indirect light coming through the windows. Direct sunlight is difficult to deal with if you're not going to use any diffusion.

Ditto that (as always). Don't even bother with the windows, gel your lights instead.

"full or 3/4 CTB gels for your lights" I'll go with those. Thanks

I agree with Terry... filmtools is a great place to buy from. I've always had great experiences.
