Color correct full scenes?

I'm using the Vegas pro 9.0;

I'm going to do some color correction but was wondering if there is a way I can do the setting for the full 10 minute scene or do I have to go cut by cut? I tried highlighting it but it didn't work. Cut by cut will take me forever as you know there are hundreds of cuts in that mount of time. Thanks

Yeah, effects (such as colour correction) can be applied to the whole track, which is a lot more convenient if lots of shots need exactly the same effects. And if e.g. there are three different categories of shot each needing different colour correction. separate the shots to three different tracks and again apply the effects to the tracks.

But if the shots are too chaotic for that and you just want to copy an effect from one shot to another, you can copy then paste only the shot attributes - but be warned, you can only paste ALL the attributes, i.e. all effects plus any Pan/cropping etc.

I should have been more on top of what I was trying to say. My film has both present and past so I wanted to change the look of the past so that is why I wanted to do one full change. If that makes any sense :-) Thanks everyone

Yup, sounds like one track for 'present' tracks and another for 'past' shots will suit you.
