Collinscraft Red Eye .5x wide angle - questions?

Hi all. I am looking to purchase the Red Eye .5x wide angle lens. Can you use this lens with the existing DVX100 lens hood on. I understand you CANNOT use the lens hood with the .6x Century Optics lens.

I don't see why not. It looks like a regular screw-on type filter in size.

The Century lens looks too thick to use the shade though.

Might it not vignette though? Dunno.

It shouldn't. I don't believe regular UV filters vignette but I'm not 100% sure.
