i've just watched "Colleteral" the other day -- the film, staring Tom Cruise, was almost entirely shot on HD. i think that this film, being still among the pioneer executers of HD, suffers from some of the youth illness of this format.
an article at the American Cinematographer covers to details the technical making of this film... very recommended --> http://www.theasc.com/magazine/aug04/collateral/page1.html
director Michael Mann changed DP during the shot... they mixed the Sony HDW-F900 with Thomson Viper, with 35mm -- all and all, sounds like a very complicated voyage. final result yield some good images alongside with some disturbing video-looking images imo.
anybody watched it already? interested to know what do you think!
