Collaborative Cloud editing with Premiere Pro CC ?

I am considering Premiere Pro CC (PPCC), never used Adobe Premiere. What I would like to know is if PPCC would allow for collaborative cloud editing of a film. Say I am in one city and have a subscription to PPCC and a collaborative in another city also has a subscription to PPCC; can we collaboratively edit a film without investing in private servers (i did google and found Adobe Anywhere but that seems to require expensive private servers-- fine for big studios but not for low budget indie). I have and used Sony Vegas Pro, just thinking of making a move to PPCC for two reasons (1)potential for collaborative cloud editing, and (2)interestingly, just came from a film festival roundtable with filmmakers, about 12 short films filmmakers, and every single one of them said they use Adobe Premiere and that must say something. Please, I am not looking to make this thread about comparing NLEs, just interested in if PPCC allows for collaborative cloud editing, if anybody has done that and how it worked. Thank you!

At this point in time, Adobe Anywhere is really the best method for doing this type of work. Without it, there will be difficulties. For example, both of you will need to have the same assets on your local hard drives, you can't work off one copy of the media. You will need to send the project file back and forth, via email, Dropbox or some such method. Only one of you will be able to work on the project at a time, with the other one doing absolutely nothing until the first sends the updated project file, otherwise you will overwrite each other's changes.

Creative Cloud really is simply a marketing term. While you do get some cloud storage with your subscription, the software is installed and run locally, and works best when used by one editor on one machine (except when using Adobe Anywhere).

Having said all that, you can both install the suite and use it free for 30 days to see if it will fit your needs.

Thank you, confirms my suspicions. Especially the CC marketing term-- I think companies throw around some terms and buzzwords as marketing tactics and often just confuse and imply false promises of what a product can do. OMG the worst was at a college I taught at where a VP gave a presentation to the entire faculty and talked about an 'Environmental Scan' being needed blah blah blah. None of the faculty knew what she was talking about, but I knew here well so later asked her what that meant and she said it meant a 'student survey'; wow.

I will probably go with Adobe Premiere CC at some point, but not for any collaborative cloud editing as that seems to be unobtainable in any practical way for now. You are right, best to have one editor (perhaps an assistant if available but regardless one PC, one site where editing is done), one set of master clips (with lots of backups!).
