Since the search is not working, and I'm in a definite bind right now, I needed to make a new topic for this. Sorry in advance.
I recently shot some 35mm footage at an event with a redrock micro without a flip module on my HMC150. Once captured I flipped all the footage in Quicktime itself to bring into FCP.
I'm using:
HMC150
FCP 7.0.1
Quicktime 7.6.4
Sequence settings and clip settings match, which are both:
Apple ProRes 422 1280 x 720 24p 48kHz
Once bringing into FCP (7.0.1) the footage was upside-down, again. I flipped it over using both the flop filter, and by rotating it 180 degrees in the motion tab, and both times, whenever I export the footage it's upside-down. I've tried exporting it as a self contained quicktime file, but then I get the "codec not found. you may be using a compression type without the corresponding hardware card" error.
I've looked to see what codec is being used and everything matches (prores 422) so I'm now stumped.
I'm confused at the fact that the rest of the footage from the same event that was shot without the 35, exports fine, along with the rest of the footage I shot throughout the year (without the 35). But the only footage I have an issue with is the redrock footage that has been flipped. I've searched on google and people have said to trash their FCP preferences and re-install, but the FCP install disks are at my business partners house in California, 300 miles away. I did just update my FCP to the latest update, which apparently put it to 7.0.1, and nothing has been fixed. I've also heard updating quicktime may do the trick, but I'm currently up to date with the latest version..
Does anyone have any ideas? I really need this done by monday at the absolute latest.
I've thought about keeping everything flipped and exporting as an h.264 (which will export fine for some reason, but will revert the footage back to it's original "upside-down" state) then bringing it back in and flipping it again for a second time to see if I can make it work.
Thank you TONS in advance, this is beyond frustrating...and again, I apologize if this has already been covered, and resolved. The search is not working for me at all.
