Hi everyone, this is my first post but I just found the site and thought I'd throw this out there. I am working on a doc and am looking for someone to help. Preferably someone living in London.
This is a low budget ($50,000) documentary in the mid stages of development. It is being made by a start-up production company.
The subject is Kurdish Iraq and the applicant will be travelling to Kurdistan with the Producer for an initial 10 day rece in mid April. The filming will then take place a month or so later.
As this is a start-up project, I am ultimately looking for someone adventurous who will see this as an exciting experience in a fascinating part of the world. All expenses will of course be covered as well as a small producers-fee and a share of profits at the end.
A central theme of the doc is about the film makers own experience out there, as well as the stories to be found on the ground. It is worth saying that Northern Iraq is not the hotbead of insurgency that the south is and that all contacts in the region are arranged directly with the presidents office.
