CN-183 LED video light with AB brick ?

Has anyone tried the CN-183 LED or Pro 183-LED video light with AB lithium brick ?

These are sold as CN-183 LED or Pro 183-LED and come with filters, a battery and charger. Since I have AB gold mounts on my cameras, it would be nice to tap to the light.

Power input port says 12 volts. Can it run on a fully charged (17 volts) AB lithium brick, or does smoke leak out?

I have seen it in person. It's a little bit brighter than the Pro 160 LED light but the whole setup is very bulky.

The beauty of LED light is it's low power consumption so you don't need to carry a heavy battery (or tie yourself to the light). So I think the little bit of brightness (compared to the Pro 160 light) is not worth it.

Taky - Thanks for the reply. You may be the only guy who can find the answer to this question.

The 183 might let me use my existing on-camera battery to power the light. For me that means no extra small camera batteries and chargers to buy or carry around and no extra weight on top of the camera from the 7.4 volt battery.

The question is, will the 17 volt full charge state of an Anton Bauer lithium battery fry the 12 volt light, or is 17 volts within the voltage range the light can accept? The ads I have seen for these lights don't show the accepable input voltage range, just 12 volts.
