Cloverfield 2?

Youtube is full of trailers for it if you haven't seen them.

Yeah, in the short hunt I just did, looks like all fan made stuff. Am I missing a certain one?

Ahhh, just found some of the viral videos I believe. But as for a trailer, no go on that one.

Edit that again, the viral videos I found on youtube are PRETTY sub par.

All I can say is, if there is a Cloverfield 2, if it looks like it's shot the same way as the first one, I will not be seeing it in the theater.

Liked the idea, was very into the characters they created, but just about lost my $11 nachos... :D

The first one was quite fun. However, don't have the patience and time for these viral marketing thing. Its just plain boring. In the end, its just a monster movie, I don't understand why people bother with this viral stuff.

Yeah it's weird they would do that for part 2.
I mean, the first one really needed people to get excited for it, but this is a sequel.
All you need is a blank screen and the words CLOVERFIELD 2 for people to know what it is.

I say we edit all the trailers together and make a movie, ya know? Beat them to it. Anyone? Beuller?

Well viral marketing is the same as regular marketing, but I have a feeling it's directed more towards the target market. Teens, young adults that enjoy viral videos. By integrating themselves within this market they help to create buzz.

Why make a splash screen with "cloverfield 2" when you can do something more creative, something that maybe people will post on their blogs, or tell their friends to check out? Why would they tell their friends to check out a video that just shows some title?

If you don't like it, then maybe you're not the target market.

Plus I know JJ Abrams is a fan of doing viral marketing.

People post trailer links all the time.
