Clouds with Particular

Alright, I'm in over my head here. I need to generate some clouds in AE in the same vein as this:

Apparently all done in AE with Particular. I have played around all day and haven't gotten anything close really. Anyone have an idea of were to start?

for some reason, I can't get any of those movies to work. Keep getting an access denied error. Pisses me off, they look really cool and I wanna see 'em.

ok , 1st off... that clip of pierre michel is freakin cool.. but he only used particular with those foggy clouds that move.. and give the stills a form of life..
if u notice the intense clouds at the bottome and the sun are stills..
he only adds some lightly foggy clouds in movement .. lens flare birds.. and voila its alive.. all i wanted to know is that lens effect when the cam loooks down.. that curve on the corners.. how does he do that? it kinda gives a even more realistic tilt.. and ya.. those water drops.. perfect.

Optics Compensation is a AE plugin that will do exactly that. Or, you could do it with a displacement map using a circular gradient.
