Cloud Time Lapse

I want to be able to do Time Lapse (especially clouds) for some establishing shots- how do I do this? How long does the camera have to stay out? I'm guessing I should wait for a cloudy day, of course. Any tips?

TONS of stuff on this all over the web. You might check the forums at timescapes.org. And get out there and do a lot of tests. Don't have any hope or expectation that you'll get great results the first, second, or third time. Takes a lot of practice and playing to really figure it out.
