Closest macro possible, how??

Re: Closest macro possible, how??

Use a close-up diopter lens, something like a Nikon 6T (which would require a 72mm->62mm step-down ring to mount it).

Re: Closest macro possible, how??

cool, thanks. I'll look into that. I wanna fill the screen with a finger print! ;D

Re: Closest macro possible, how??

is that equal to a +6 magnification? thust hte 6t name? Is 10+ too much?

Re: Closest macro possible, how??

The nikon, I believe has a diopter of 2.9.

I'm just grabbing this out of vague memory but a diopter power is calculated by reciprocal of the focal length when distance is measured in meters.

Re: Closest macro possible, how??

i think century optics makes one, but if its just for one project and not something your going to use all the time maybe you could do it in photoshop with a digital still camera?
