Close-up masking in After Effects CS4?

I need to zoom in 200-400% for some close-up masking work and am wondering how I can move around within the preview monitor without changing layer or mask positions? In Photoshop I use the navigator to move around a zoomed in image. How do do this in AE CS4?

Hi H to swap to the hand tool, click and drag around and then hit V to swap back to the pointer... I think...

just hit 'space' button while cursor is in preview window, this will change it to hand tool as long as you keep 'space' pressed and automatically switch back to normal cursor if you let go

It works the same in AI and PS.

Also, pressing the period and comma keys zoom in and out, respectively. The backslash/question mark key brings you back to 100%.

On Windows I always use control + mouse wheel to zoom for most apps although I think it's alt + mouse wheel for Illustrator.
