Clips won't play in AE

I shot and uploaded DVX 24PA clips into Avid (that look and play fine). I've imported those same files into AE 6.5 Pro but they will not play. The frame views show up in the project list but the program acts as if nothing is there when playing the file. Other clips from Avid play fine, but not these latest.

Any ideas?

I believe it is the Avid standard OMF file. Beyond that, not sure. These file types have imported without a problem in the past (and still do). I did, however, capture this time via Mojo's firewire input.

Would someone please specify the settings in AE for importing 24P(Advance) footage from Avid? I still can't get these clips to play and I'm wondering if it is simply a setting in the program. I get an icon for the clip but nothing plays. It is very strange. I haven't had this problem with 60i footage so I'm assuming it might be the frame rate. Any tips and tricks would be most helpful.

Hmmm...I usually don't change the defaults. Have you interpreted the footage from the composition window? If you double click it from the comp window does it throw it into the main window?

Are you absolutely sure your full footage is there? When you put the file on the timeline is it actually showing that the length is the same as the original footage? Also, are you getting an image in the monitor window of the first frame when you place the footage on the timeline?

Are you referencing the file from Avid or have you exported the file to quicktime and then imported it to AE? If the latter, does the file play in the Quicktime player?

Just some things to verify because I haven't come across this problem myself. All 24p and 24pa footage plays fine in AE. Even if you don't interpret it correctly, it will still play on the timeline.

Thanks for the input.

The clips play fine in Avid. I load the clips in AE and it does show the first frame of the video. But when I try to play them, they're blan, like nothing's there. I'll double-check the lengths.

Also, is there anything special I must do to use Mojo's monitoring feature with AE? I've installed the plug-in but I don't ever get any output with any clips.

Ok, so I re-digitized the footage.  It now plays the footage but the aspect ratio seems to be all wrong.  It displays ONLY in the upper half of the window while leaving the lower half completely black.  This is 24Pa footage captured with the DVX's anamorphic adapter.  Is it something in the settings that I'm totally missing??  How should I set the footage to be interpreted?

Also getting lots of flicker.  Maybe because of some preview mode?  And still no images on my EMP while running AE. This is driving me crazy.
