clipping with G2 100 wireless setup

Howdy,
I'm a shooter with some audio experience. I'm struggling with some clipping problems with these new Sennheiser EW100G2 wireless Lav setups. In a normal interview situation a higher modulation in tone makes them clip. I've heard that the DVX brings audio in hot even on Mic level, particularly w/ Sennheiser mics, but it's clipping at -12db and under! It seems that the M4 cardioid mic is super sensitive. It sounds great at a whisper or a distance. I've set the Transmitter's sensitivity to -30db and the Receiver's AF out to the same and I'll control the levels on camera. I'm hoping this will help. Seems pretty drastic though. Any suggestions?

set the camera to mike -50 db put the potensiometer on 12 o clock , set the reciever very low
, then go with the transmitwer setting down until the high picks would not distort , bring the picks on the camera until it hit -10-6 dbfs with reciever out ( rice the out with menu)
