So I have a question. Has anyone experienced this: after they finish their project in FCP, the levels all sound hunky dory (yes I just said hunky dory) to you, no distortion or weirdness, and when exporting the audio to AIFF, DV, whatever, then you listen to the exported audio, there's clipping that occurs in various areas throughout? Why wouldn't the audio levels match the timeline? Is there a way to avoid this other than having to re-adjust all the levels? I'm frustrated after a year of editing this film I have to go back and do that. Any ideas? Much appreciated.

look at your levels in FCP, do they go into the RED? or do they stay in the yellow.. Just because they sound good in FCP doesn't mean they are correct.. Keep them on the tops of the yellows..
