I can't find how to give my clips in the timeline different colors. I use to do that with some version of premiere at some point in my life - a few years back. And now I would really need to separate my 30 little movies with different colors on the timeline. - But like I said I dunno where to look anymore in Premiere 2.0

helpppp

thanks in advance,

Under the effects tab you'll see audio transitions, video transitions, video effects etc.. Scroll down the video effects and you'll see different options for color correction. Pick which one you want and drag it to the clip on the timeline. An effects pallet should open in the monitor window where you can make changes.

Check out the help--> how to apply effects.

Hehehe , Im sorry about my bad english. Color correction is not what I was talking about. I was talking about the actual color of the clips on the timeline. They have a kind of Cyan default color and I want to be able to change that.

I have 30 different little 3 minutes movies on the timeline and I would love to have them in different color so I can distiguish them better...

thx

No worries, your english is fine.

I'm not sure if you can change the color of the timeline but if you can it would probably be in in edit --> preferences.

However, even if you can't you can place every movie into it's own sequence [name them accordingly] and then place all thirty sequences into a single [master] timeline. Although the master sequence won't be color coordinated you will be able to distinguish one from the other.

I haven't found a way to do it yet. Unfortunately, that's one of the only FCP features that I miss in Premiere.

It can not be done but I use the option that uses a single frame at the head of the clip to identify start and end of the clip (if that helps you)

Can't be done in PP 2.0 ... damn...thats bad... anyway thanks for the quick responses ...
