Client concern over documentary title

We produced a documentary for a client and it turns out the name of the project is the same as another film out there. Client is concerned but I'm not sure she has to be. Subject matter is entirely different and both projects are completely independent of each other and have no similarity. Can anyone offer any insight? We typically deal in the corporate/commercial world and can't be 100% sure. Thanks!

Is the client worried about confusion or getting sued? Personally, I'd be more worried about someone trying to Google the client's project and always having the other project show up. I'm not a lawyer, and this is not legal advice, but I worked on a doc called "Winter" last year and it certainly is not the first project to use that title.

I'd change the name. Why risk the potential hassle and confusion from a same/similar titled movie? In the "real world," movies in-production often have a working title that is changed when it actually goes to market. Probably for very similar reasons as yours.
