Cleaning the cobra pit

reading the youtube comments one person says :

"
You guys want an explanation? Those snakes have been defanged and are unable to defend themselves. They will likely die from infection / not being able to eat within months / a year. The guy is being needlessly rude to those snakes, tossing them about like that. There appear to be some dead snakes in the pit as well, which is no wonder with that kind of treatment. This guy is no hero, he's abusing animals."

No Idea how true that is or not

Looking it up, while there's no clear answer, everyone's consensus is that most if not all zoos remove the fangs and glands to keep the cobras from biting anyone.

It would most likely explain why he's so stoic. No man, no matter how brave, would do what he's doing without being worried out or taking better precautions if they actually had fangs.

Let's ask Steve Irwin.

No, those cobra pit snakes must be defanged.
