Cleaning the camera question

Can someone please help a novice by telling me how often the dvx needs to be cleaned, where to clean it (parts) , what to clean it with, and also how to protect the camera the best way possible without it having to be cleaned a lot?

well, like most who have had the caemra a while, i have found the lovely signs of when the recording heads need to be cleaned. Thi you cannot avoid, unless you have it sitting away in a case without having any hours of use.
But no, after , i think it was 50 hours of use, its recommended to get a head cleaning dv and run it a few times for a few seconds.

Other than that, get yourself a nice pelican case and keep it safely away!

( mine is still standing upright on the steadycam lol )

You should never use a cleaning tape unless necessary. They are abrasive to the heads. If the camera isn't giving you any erros then it don't need it.
