Clean up audio for FCP, what software?

Does anyone have recommendations as to (not too expensive) simple audio software to import FCP soundtracks into to just clean up a bit? I'm not prepared to sit down with Pro Tools or QBase yet, just something easy to use for very basic audio eq-ing and cleaning up?

Depending on what version of FCP you have, you should have a program already, either Peak or SoundTrack Pro.

If you don't have either of them, try "Sound Studio" (used to be Felt Tip Sound Studio, but someone bought it). It's about $80 and I used it for everything until I got SoundTrack Pro.

I know the answer is going to be probably no, but is there a software out or within FCP audio filters that will either take the buzz out of some audio clips or do something to where its still there but less noticeable? I know SOUNDSOAP is used to get rid of certain unwanted sounds but I am not sure if it can hide the sound of audio that has a buzz. The sad thing is that I was wearing headphones while I shot this interview and I didnt notice any buzz. I heard it loud and clear when drop the clips onto the timeline and played them back.

File Transfer to STP. Then A & A.

In STP there's an "Analysis" and "Action" for your soundtrack you want to "cleanup". While in FCP, go to File, Send To, then your audio file will show up in STP. Use the previous "A & A", then send back to FCP. I had over a 3 minute file and it cleaned up "real good".
