Clap Syncing Audio in FCP from P2/WAV

Greetings Fellow Filmmakers:

I have a general question about syncing audio in FCP from an external source.

Here is the Production Workflow:
1) Shot 99% 720p24pn, which means I ended up with four tracks of mono audio from the internal microphone on the HVX.
2) The Mixer recorded to harddrive using Boom Recorder (awesome App btw) and gave me CD's for each day.

Now that I am Posting the project, I need to know something:
When Creating the merged clips in FCP, will it throw away the other audio information (ie. the 4 tracks of bad in camera audio) like it does in AVID?
This is my first time with this specific workflow on FCP, only have used external sync sound with AVID Media Composer.

I am beginning the sync process tonight so any insight into this before I start would be amazing.

Thanks everyone! Keep shooting, and Keep it reel.

You would need to remove the original tracks manually. But this is as simple as control-l to unlink and then delete. You could even do a bunch at once after lining up takes on a single sequence.

Thanks Noah. I will do that as I slog through all the media... That helped me a lot!
