Both AB and V types are professional camcorder lithium type batteries. The AB plate is for use with an Anton Bauer type specifically. The V mount is for use with Sony's pro batteries. These are relatively large batteries compared to the ones that many are familiar with for use with the semi-pro type camcorders, but compact from the standpoint of the amount of power they put out. They are also more expensive so I don't recommend anyone buy one just for use with our LED lighting unless compactness and weight are of utmost importance. www.globalmediapro.com is one source for such batteries. Beilen is another.
The economy solution for powering the LED 600 on batteries is to use a lead acid type battery belt like those that Bescor makes which are larger and heavier but also quite a bit less expensive too.
