Civilization: Amazing Video Mural!!

Hey guys. Don't know if anybody already posted this but it's a video mural called Civilization. It's a depiction of the elevator ride from hell to heaven. It's a permanent installation at the Standard Hotel in New York. It uses over 500 clips from famous movies.

thats FANTASTIC!!! I wish there was a kind of map that listed the movie each clip was from. Some are obvious but most are not.

I'm surprised to read a response of anything but awe.

If you read beyond the video... and see what it's FOR... it's simply brilliant. It's SUPPOSED to be eye-candy with a common thread... it's a visualization that customers/visitors will only see a little of at a time. The ultimate easter egg.

Notice that the visuals move from "hell" to "heaven"... and the client is a HOTEL... that is bad ass.

"It will playback on a high-definition monitor which will be seen through a viewing port in each of the elevators at the hotel and move according to the direction of the elevator."

Now re-watch that video you clueless bums! (I mean that in the best possible way )

MattinSTL is right...the installation makes it even better. It is artsy in that it reminds me of a painting by Peter Bruegel or Hieronymus Bosch. I think its awesome.
